Hello friends! We are Sam and Yaiza, and together we are Backpacks Adrift! We met in the summer of 2018 while volunteering at a Workaway in Norway and became instant besties. However, it wasn’t until after we returned to our own countries (USA and Spain) that we realized our feelings for each other were stronger than they originally seemed ❤️.

Life didn’t choose to make things easy for us though. Thanks to one of us receiving a two year entry ban from Europe (I’m looking at you Sam 😒) and the never ending Covid-19 pandemic, it would be over two years until we would next see each other face to face. These obstacles taught us never to take anything for granted though, especially our time, and neither should you! That’s why we created Backpacks Adrift, to take life into our own hands, do what we love, tell stories, work with brands we trust, and encourage others to do the same 📸!
